Multimodal intelligent traffic light control optimization
Mitco is a product for optimal control of traffic lights at a single intersection or at a network of intersections in real time. Mitco receives historical and current traffic information from different sources and calculates optimal sequences and durations of traffic lights phases in real time. The optimization is carried out using state-of-art AI technologies. Anonymized traffic information from radar detectors, cameras and GPS (taxi fleets, car sharing, local public transport) is currently analyzed. In the future, the integration of further sources is planned, such as Vehicle2X communication, infrared sensors, induction loops and navigation providers (Google Maps, TomTom, etc.).
Video based traffic information extraction
vTie is a product for collecting traffic information in real time. It works with video livestreams, which are recorded by traffic surveillance cameras. vTie determines the positions of all road users in the field of view of the cameras and uses them to extract real-time traffic information such as queue lengths and time spent at an intersection. Adapted technologies of artificial intelligence from the field of computer vision are used for this. In principle, vTie can be used together with Mitco or as a separate product for traffic analysis. All information is made available in real time via an API so that third-party providers can also access the data.
